The Challenge:
High-performance plastics like PEEK and POM have a high coefficient of thermal expansion and low thermal conductivity. Heat generated during cutting accumulates rapidly, causing localized softening, microscopic burrs, and severe dimensional shifting once the part cools down.
Our Solution:
We pre-condition polymer raw stocks through thermal stabilization cycles to relieve extruded internal stresses before the first cut. Using positive-rake, polished diamond or carbide tools running at calculated speed-to-feed boundaries, we prevent material deflection and achieve burr-free, sub-micron execution without internal fracturing.
